The Green Label
Collection
As part of its sustainability strategy, KLEED is committed to achieving zero waste,
no mean feat for a luxury fashion brand, considering the complex sourcing,
dyeing and production processes involved.
We are thrilled to launch our latest initiative: The Green Label collection. Using excess fabrics from each collection, our talented designers have come up with stunning, unique designs. Best of all, from our discerning customers’ point of view, The Green Label articles are, by their very definition, limited editions.
As CEO Carolina Guedes Cruz, explains, “KLEED has always been a conscious fashion brand. We are constantly searching for ways, and rolling out initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint, support local communities, and raise awareness of wildlife conservation projects. It’s embedded in everything we do – and, really, what we are all about.
Our first The Green Label collection embodies this simply, yet effectively - and we’re quietly proud of what we’ve achieved. At KLEED, we already produce handmade paper from our excess fabrics, but The Green Label is a far more ambitious project – we are committing ourselves to an entire additional collection.
As well as being zero waste, each The Green Label collection will be unique, constantly evolving and changing, simply because each article is designed and produced from existing stock – which our socially conscious KLEED clients deeply appreciate. More than zero waste, we are creating our own circular economy”.
In The Green Label Collection, KLEED’s talented design and uncompromising quality craftsmanship come together in a dazzling variety of stunning KLEED kaftans, kimonos and pyjamas. The riot of colour and wealth of patterns and designs, make The Green Label one of our most sought-after collections.
The Lake Collection
"And it is here, on the calm and tranquil lake waters, surrounded
by the craggy peaks of the snow-covered mountains,
that the Lake Collection is born."
Kashmir - once called "Paradise on Earth" by the great Moghul Emperor Jahangir, Kashmir is proud of its stunning landscape, pristine scenery, and breathtaking views. In the valley below, the sun sets in a burst of rose-pink and amber. The river, that before raged between gorges and the mountains, is now a wide and placid stream. Near Srinagar, the Dal and Nigeen lakes are ringed by the white-capped purple mountains.
We cam see two friends, arriving on horseback, past the fields of yellow mustard, as the road winds its way down from the mountains. They have embarked on a voyage of discovery of Kashmir. They spend some days on the Nigeen Lake, on a traditional wooden houseboat. These intricately carved wooden boats were used by the British during the Raj period, for they spent the summer months in Kasmir, to escape the blistering heat of the plains below.
All around the houseboat, endless sun-dappled waterways, fringed with drooping willows. Along the embankments, ancient wooden houses on stilts, rise abose the water. Old worn bridges ford the rivers and streams, as dozens of temples and mosques' domes and spires reach for the sky. Here, the two women spend idyllic days, sailing across the lake on a flat-bottomed shikara - the water taxi of Kashmir, with its slim lines and gaily patterned canopy.
And it is here, on the calm and tranquil lake waters, surrounded by the craggy peaks of the snow-covered mountains, that the Lake Collection is born.
This AW23, The Lake Collection introduces the calm, restful pastel colours that mirror life on the still water of the Kashmiri lakes - pale lilac, light blue-grey and subtle pistachio green, with contrasting white silk piping. These silky pyjamas and matching robes are statement pieces - sophiticated yet deceptively simple in design and detail.
Yet Kashmir is also a land of harsh and rugged landscapes, of centuries-old culture of a fiercely independent and artistic people. It is here that the two women ride to their hearts content, at one with Nature. They live for days among the nomadic tribes, share their food and ecen learn to cool their exotic dishes. They talk, theu laugh, and they learn about the country's history and these proud yet hospitable mountain folk.
The sharp outline of valleys and peaks from the perfect backdrop for the mountain photoshoot - this time, the brightly coloured cottons, hand woven pieces and long-lasting IKAT cotton dresses. The setting for this wonderful shoot was a picnic oon the mountain - replete with Persian rugs, embroidered cushions, and generous throws. Flower-filled clay vases and resplendent picnic baskets complete the idyll, reflecting KLEED'S joyful and colour-filled kimonos. The two girld arrive on horseback, eager to spend a glorious afternoon with their new-found Kashmir friends - celebrating friendships, life, and the endless bounty of Mother Nature.

The Dazzle Collection
An iconic, inspired collection of luxury loungewear, eclectic in style and vast in scope – from IKAT kimonos to silk kaftans; from dress robes to kaftan dresses.
Sustainable luxury loungewear brand KLEED introduces the Dazzle Collection, where exciting designs and expert craftsmanship come together in unique, statement pieces of luxury loungewear for today’s demanding woman.
This Summer, KLEED has broadened its range of products – from kaftans to kaftan dresses, robes to robe dresses, from kimonos to tote bags. All of them thrive on vivid handloomed, or block printed colours and richly worked pure silk embroideries.
KLEED is about sophisticated loungewear, like the deliciously decadent, handloomed pure silk Gadisar Kaftan, with its stunning scarlet and brilliant aquamarine vintage pattern. As always with KLEED, sustainability is at the fore – and this season introduces the Dark blue Demoiselle Kimono. Handmade by expert craftsmen in Bagru, India, following centuries old traditions in block printing, it is made using only natural dyes and thus chemical free.
The Dazzle Collection is, in every way, far more than the sum of its parts. Unique luxury casual loungewear is paired with sustainability – from respecting and honouring craftsmanship and materials; to opting for recycled product labels, non-polluting packaging and handmade paper from excess fabrics.

Kaftans and dresses – from beachwear to eveningwear, without missing a beat
KLEED’s Summer 22 collection expands on our tailored IKAT dresses – triple flounced and with asleek Mandarin collar.
IKAT dresses also surprise us in geometrical patterns - dark copper-red, onyx black, warm orange and slate grey. Versatility itself, the new Diamond Dress - in black on cream, indigo blue or heart-throb red - which takes you from the beach to your evening do - so you can stay right there on the beach and enjoy the sunset to the very end.
Our firm favourite, and a true harbinger of warm summer nights – the flatteringly tailored finest cotton sundresses – a rush of flower power, in rich warm red and cool cream backgrounds.
Last but not least, the new kid on the block: our playful IKAT cotton PJs with their versatile shorts and top – as gorgeous on the beach, as they are in the bedroom.
All in all, Summer 22 is a veritable hymn to the love of life. And, ultimately, to the essence of you.
The Bagh
Collection
As always, KLEED’s stance on sustainability underpins its entire collection, as it deepens its commitment to local communities, ancestral craftsmanship and natural dyes celebrating bold African prints and colours; and incorporating classical 19th century European prints, into today’s luxurious and chic loungewear.
The entire Bagh Collection testifies to KLEED’s cult status as an elegant, relaxed way of life, whilst maintaining its focus on sustainability in every aspect of its business.
KLEED kimonos on the brand’s path to full sustainability
The double IKAT Kimonos are a staple of KLEED’s collections and this year are heralded in several versions: the midnight Saratan Blue kimono with generous white spots, embroidered with the trademark red lobster; or the teal green, pillar box red or deep blue Shela number, embroidered with cranes or lobsters in contrasting electric blue, bright pink or unabashed scarlet. Celebrating its love of African and animal conservation, KLEED presents its Masai Kimono, with bold chequered blue, red and black; the Mombasa Mix in stunning geometric black and white, with contrasting dark red swathed sash. Finally, the début of the Asian inspired Rainbow kimono, in delicate multi-coloured colour blocks, on a luscious cream background.
With the block print kimono and robes, KLEED reinterprets the renowned Indian technique, and presents a capsule collection of matching pyjamas. In the Bagh collection, we are presented with a seamless fusion of Europe, India and the Far East: swathes of dark blue Paisley prints and vibrant green Indian Palms for the iconic sets of kimono or robe with matching pyjamas; the exotic teal green Japanese floating flowers kimono; and the luscious pink and green climbing flowers kimono, with its contrasting butterfly embroidery. Warm red and cream paisley kimonos make their debut, as do the stunning contrasting turquoise and maroon on cream Sambar kimonos, with their generous, meticulously drawn flower prints. As a final touch, the irresistible IKAT bags in the various prints and patterns, to pair with each Kimono.
A mainstay of the Bagh Collection are the flattering IKAT Pole Pole maxi-length dresses, that will see you effortlessly through the winter and spring months: tapered line, an elegant Mandarin collar, gathered sleeves buttoned at the cuff, and gently flaring in four tiers, to calf-length. Contrasts in colours add depth and warmth to each model: whether the blue, green and red on light grey background; the electric blue on warm ochre yellow; warm peach on maroon and light grey; or the lemon yellow, black and grey version.
Cocooning takes on another meaning with the irresistible KLEED pyjamas – no less indulgent but so much more sophisticated. Crafted from the finest cotton, the bright red or blue Toile de Jouy patterns, with their contrasting piping at the front and hems are an instant hit and will brighten up any grey winter’s day. The regal Blue Boteh paisley patterned pyjama makes its debut, complete with elegant mother of pearl buttons and contrasting white piping – with its chic matching robe it makes the perfect gift for any occasion. An ode to warmer climes is gaily announced - the Mtende pyjama with its spreading green palm trees, embellished by bright red piping on the pyjama jacket, cuffs and hems, and the scarlet crane embroidery on the back. The playful handloomed light cotton IKAT Bind Pyjamas are a show-stopper addition to this year’s collection – their warm coral red or teal green circle-splash pattern, mother of pearl buttons and contrasting piping are a welcome harbinger of summer. The deep indigo Blue Bind pyjama offers a slightly different take, with its diamond-shaped pattern and rakish, contrasting pink piping.
By drawing upon the inspiration of the various cultures and continents, the Bagh collection also celebrates the richness of intercultural mix and match: the Malindi block printed pyjamas – with matching kimonos available - are a feast of contrasting and complementing flower prints, in collars, cuffs and hems: a riotous explosion of the warmest red, the brightest pink and the most luminous turquoise that our eyes could wish for. For the more mathematically minded, the Sambar pyjamas feature indigo or Royal blue geometrical patterns paired with romantic and bright red flowers – a triumphant hymn to life and love, wherever you may be.

Amu
Collection
The AMU collection invites us to rediscover ourselves – stripped of the trappings of urban civilization, of the “sound and the fury”, the pollution, the daily grind and pressure of our lives. The blindingly white crushed coral mosaics of the houses in Lamu, Kenya, heighten our senses. The startlingly blue and warming red of the Masai beads revive us.
KLEED Kimonos – rediscovered.
Featuring KLEED’s own IKAT designs, this season’s kimonos reflect Lamu’s Moorish and Arabian heritage in their Lamu copper-red or indigo-blue; but also in their geometrical patterns, with a stunning blue or pink spreadeagled crane embroidered on the back. Forest green and cream kimonos boast a quirky hot pink butterfly embroidery on the back. Branching out into more abstract designs, are the vibrant, red hoop print kimonos, embellished with their own brightly coloured butterfly embroideries.
This season’s flowered kimonos, with their timeless red and cream backgrounds feature contrasting collar bands and the most flattering sash-like belts.
A time to reflect but also to relive. To recover our lives as we love them – with meaning, with joy and with gratitude. This season, KLEED celebrates the essence of you. Enjoy the Collection and welcome to KLEED’s world of sustainable lounge and sleepwear.
Thabo
Collection
For AW20 we decided to launch bright colours, happy colours. Grey days are coming and we want to paint those days in colour. Patterns with flowers of different colours, check patterns in several shades and mixing them up giving some creativity to the sleeping wear line composed by versatile kimonos pairing them with check pyjamas.
We played with the patterns, to run away from monotony, and we played with the different fabrics we use.
Now we mix ikat fabrics with blockprints and checks. The cotton collection is fun! And its supposed to be Fun! That’s what we need nowadays. Regarding the IKATS that make part of the brand’s backbone, for AW20 we introduced new and exclusive kleed designs for the first time and this trend came to stay, from now on our ikats will be designed by us for us! Kleed is also innovating with a Premium collection composed by beautiful Flora and Fauna prints applied in viscose fabric, made out of wood pulp because sustainability is an important theme for us.
This premium collection is called Atelier Line, and we decided to launch it to fulfill a space in our brand that was still empty in order to offer our clientele a fine line that was missing in our portfolio.
Our collections have been mainly produced in cotton, making them very practical and versatile for everyday life, but there are those who want to sleep in a soft viscose, or wander around the house on weekends feeling very chique until PM and not feeling guilty by still wandering in their PJ’s.
The Atelier line is composed by beautiful pyjamas, paring with robes and/or kimonos of same print. This line is more sophisticated, more fine, and we can use this pyjamas with high heels and beautiful necklaces to go out for a dinner or even a posh party. We want to bring color and happiness to either homewear or sleepwear always with a sustainable concern which is more and more part of the brands DNA.

The voice of the wild
Collection
KLEED’s signature silky kimono has evolved into a more vocal reflection of the brand’s wildlife protection ethos: the royal purple or the rich ochre yellow numbers boast Wildlife Supporter in pillar box red letters on the back. The kimonos are also available in gift sets, with matching red-piped pyjamas. The back-by-popular-demand Continuum Collection sees the black and grey printed kimonos reigning supreme. Another novelty this season is the midnight blue and white “take me anywhere, take me everywhere” kimono, with KLEED’s sophisticated customer in mind, looking for versatile luxury lounge and beach wear in her relaxed yet urban lifestyle.
Wildlife is all pervasive in the new leopard inspired lozenges prints, transformed into swish pyjamas – the perfect loungewear that can be layered and dressed up with velvet or silk, the rich walnut hues and black contrast piping - a testament to the enduring appeal of the classics. Also new this season, the androgynous cotton nightshirts, with their irreverent cartoon faces in bold blues and reds; or the endearing citrus yellow camel prints.

Born to be wild
Collection
All the pieces of the Born to be Wild collection reproduce patterns and prints of eclectic inspiration, sewn with the best lines of design and comfort. More than a premium brand of loungewear pieces, the collection is intended to be a line of awareness for the threat of wildlife. The lightness of the fabrics, the harmony of the shapes and the illustrations, make each piece translate a frame of mind. Raising the use of a simple piece to an indelible experience of comfort and harmony. The boldness with which the collection was thought, translates into the same spirit with which Carolina daily embraces the cause, the symbiosis no less subtle, between the Fashion and the Wildlife.
